Buffalo Greyhound Adoption, Inc. (BGA) invests over $400.00 into each retired racer in order to prepare him/her for retirement! BGA ensures that every greyhound is given a wellness exam, vaccinations made current, blood work and they are dewormed. The greyhound is also spayed or neutered and given a dental. Any greyhound requiring additional care is given the appropriate treatment despite any extra expense.
In order to keep our adoptions affordable the $240.00 donation remains constant despite the cost of veterinarian care. The difference is covered through our Sponsorship Program and BGA Fundraising efforts.
As a responsible organization, Buffalo Greyhound Adoption, Inc. always spays or neuters the greyhounds prior to placement in a pet home. The health benefits along with controlling animal population are extremely important for both community and for the dog.
Sponsorship
The Sponsorship Program is a winning option for people who want to help a retired racer, but are unable to adopt.
You can choose how your generous donation should be used. A donation of $125.00 will cover a spy, $100.00 will cover a neuter, $50.00 will cover a dental or another dollar amount would be used for the daily care such as for for the greyhound while in foster care
You will receive a picture and acknowledgement of the greyhound your donation helped.

Buffalo Greyhound Adoption, Inc. is an all volunteer, not for profit organization dedicated to finding responsible homes for retired racers. BGA enjoys being invovled in the community through our educational and AmbassaDog programs.
