When my wife and I adopted our second dog, we adopted a large white and brindle male who had been returned more than once and been in several foster homes. Duke could bark for hours at a time and really didn't care for his crate. Duke has blossomed into a great family pet. He has tons of personality and is extremely intelligent. Duke still barks, but not for hours anymore. We've helped him adjust to family life. Life with Duke is always interesting, and we wouldn't have missed it for the world. It's been a great experience!
